(Washington, D.C.) – This Saturday: Two Amazing DJs. One Night. One Dance Floor. One Party—the Road to Miami Takeover Part 1: art+fashion Show. For the first time-ever, Jay-Z’s DJ Young Guru will come to Washington, DC to rock the party crowd along with DC’s Party Kingpen, DJ Quicksilva. The event will take place on Saturday, April 30, at Café Asia, 1720 I Street NW, Washington, D.C. The 4th Annual Miami Takeover July 22-25 is an unforgettable experience providing full access to the best of Miami nightlife. On Saturday, attendees can learn more about the Takeover experience and enter for a chance to win a complimentary trip. The first event in a series leading up to this year’s Miami Takeover is a unique Saturday night experience, beginning with an art+fashion show with a transition to an ultimate DJ party. Nzinga Smith of Urbane DC will co-produce the art+fashion show alongside Dana James & Kenyatta Smith. Smith is a former Fashion Market Editor for Giant Magazine and fashion stylist for numerous magazines including GQ,ElleUptown Magazine, as well as ad campaigns for Marc Ecko.

DJ Quicksilva will DJ during the art+fashion show and transition into the late night party. Young Guru will take center stage shortly after midnight. Young Guru is currently in London with Jay-Z and Kanye West recording “Watch The Throne” compilation. Fresh from studio sessions, he will return to the states to bring DC an inspiring dance-floor-crazed, hands-in-the-air party experience.

This event targets creative and fashion-forward professionals, hip-hop lovers, and party goers.
