- Hey Loves,
Despite the whirling mists of responsibilities that have descended on my life like a thunderstorm, I was lucky to start my birthday week off in New York. I decided to rock a safari zebra print dress by BeBe with shoes by Jessica Simpson and a d'andrea handbag. I really wanted to comfortable as I love to groove at concerts. I had a great time watching Rihanna perform at the Barclay Ce[...]

PUNK. ANARCHIST. REBEL ROUSER. QUIET RIOT. RIOT GURL. The punks of the seventies never looked this posh. Punk has gone Haute Couture and we luuurrrvvsss it. While I missed out on being part of the original punk scene thankfully during the eighties I had my childhood idol Punky Brewster to serve as my muse. Okay, so maybe she wasn't the female half of Sid Vicious & [...]

- I had been corresponding with Aerin O'Connell's publicist for some time when I first met her a few days before the Liberian Star's View Magazine #HaFa Fashion and Literary forum in Philladelphia. I had the opportunity to visit her downtown loft and chat with some of her team about what she does as a designer, humanitarian and filmmaker.
Aerin, and her team discussing her preparatio[...]

- Day 2 was more free flowing and less structured. Many attendees circulated and socialized in brand rooms while other diligently hit the smaller break out sessions with industry insiders. Yes, there was swag. Plenty of it! I missed out on the end of the conference gift bag because I had to take my blogger friend to the airport but I heard it was an awesome gift for bloggers. The Dressy Chick posted[...]

- The Lucky FABB Conferece was amazing! Day 1 was a whirl of fun. The morning started off with Kelly Osbourne speaking to bloggers. The panels were ah-mazing and to top it off we were treated to hearing both Drew Barrymore and Betsey Johnson speak for an extended length of time about life, fashion and their newest projects.
Even though I have attended fashion blogger conference[...]

- Katy Perry at Coachella in Dolce & Gabanna, Yours Truly in Mango Bosnia (skirt) & Free People (top)
As someone who went to high school in the nineties during the peak of the midriff and belly baring craze, I remember when baring one's stomach went out of style. As a teen I loved baby tees and Britney Spears inspired sequined tops that tied in the back.
In junior high scho[...]

- Hey Loves,
Last weekend I hit up Coachella to hit the party scene. I stopped through the Diesel x Edun Africa House daytime party on behalf of Denim Hunt. As their newly minted West Coast affiliate, I will be covering the West Coast denim scene!
I really am in love with Diesel's latest collaboration. Edun is a Ugandan based clothing line and the two brands have collaborated to bring for[...]

- Hey Loves,
This week has been a bit on the slow side. The Boston tragedy floored me and I have also been swamped with pre-event prep for the #HaFa Fashion and Literary Event! Please PLEASE please come out if you live in Jersey or Philly area! I have personally curated the speakers and panel topics. It will be an intimate event where you can ask questions and there will also be a book signing! [...]

- Project Ethos is an amazing event that fuses music, fashion and art into one crazy hip showcase. I have to say Hous of Pink Lemonade stole the show. The designer had the models strut down the runway in black paint with color swimsuits. As the hit single "Harlem Shake" blared from the speakers, the crowd went wild. I have never heard that kind of response at a fashion show!
It was the type o[...]

- Last week I took a step off the beaten path and headed to Cross Campus in Santa Monica for a Fashion Startup runway show presented by Digital LA. It was so much fun and the crowd was full of good people. I came a bit late but TFB photographer Vince grabbed a ton of great photos from the runway. The crowd was energetic and the brands had a nice variety of pieces. Phone cameras flashed continuousl[...]

- Hey Chicaaas!!!
So, today's post is comprised of a look I shot before I cut my hair but I forgot to post it at the time! I wanted to share it because I wanted to spotlight the designer. The designer behind Mo'co'latee is a talented high school senior. I have received so much good feedback from people when they see her clothes! I chatted with her after her recent trip from Nigeria and she showed[...]

- Hey Loves, this was one of my outfits for New York Fashion Week. While I had planned on wearing a dress and soem translucent colored tights, the inclement weather made me change it up! The weather was even worse than I thought once I got to the Lincoln Center area. Stinging hail hit my face and the wind bent my umbrella into an unsightly mess. I love that umbrella and it has served my faithfully[...]
